To apply for a visa, you must be 18 years or above. A student must have enrolled in a course accepted by the higher education institution to avail student visa. Depending upon the tenure of your course, you might apply for a short-stay visa valid for 3 months and a long-stay visa for a course spanning more than 6 months.
With a short-stay visa, students may pursue internships, training programmes, conferences and corporate meetings. If you’re travelling to France on a long-stay visa, you will be able to pursue a degree course. Since this visa is valid for a year, students are required to apply for the residence permit.
