The four guys in my life are all true personalities, and about as distinct as four people can be. Finding unique gifts for guys who are uniquely person themselves, is a workout for my most creative self. After all, I want my favorite men to unique gifts for guys become more excited and happy when they open their gifts, thrilled with my brilliant choices.
Don is a divo kind: affluent, capable of supplying himself (and already has) with all the trinkets and toys of success. He's the guy with everything. What can I possibly give him that he does not have? He is certainly my biggest obstacle. This might be a present he really needs, but is it a present he desires? Even if I could manage it, he'd probably deny it as dull. Typically, I have given him clothes: cashmere (always appropriate), sports jackets from Ralph Lauren, nicely tailored tops. This season, his present has to be different, a"spot on" unique choice.
Kyle is another case. His nature is quite blasé about everything except for particular interests including: gardening, cooking, some facets of design. He's finicky about those things too, so gratifying him with an interesting and unique talent requires a lot of thought and endless hunting. Sooner or later, though, I know I will get the gift that can put a large grin on his face.
Sean is your sportsman. He is not interested in clothes, although he wants them badly. With his superb body and fantastic looks, he could land on the cover of GQ. When I give him clothes he obligingly puts them on and leaves platitudes about how brilliant they are, but I understand he is just humoring me. He'd much rather be in his 3 dollar job lot shorts and shirt, hiking or playing golf. So, maybe clothes aren't an perfect choice for Sean. It is a shame since he has so much fun to groom. Maybe I can get some camping equipment he does not already have, or perhaps hasn't heard of. But that's doubtful.
I am aware that if I could find just the right topic to hook him, an intellectual challenge, a publication will bliss him out. But what book has Tad read? I once gave him a book of quotes that he had a good deal of fun with. But there has to be something apart from books that will snag his imagination. After all, I do not want to be predictable and repetitive.
The present that doesn't delight the unique gifts for guys recipient isn't a successful gift. The perfunctory gift isn't worth giving. Funny thing is I never have this much difficulty finding fascinating gifts for my female family members and friends. I guess it's a matter of being able to relate to certain things yourself. I am aware that if I love it, she'll love it. But, men? A different thing altogether. Who knows what will grab their imaginations and pleasure them? Therefore, my never-ending search for unique presents for men that are just the right gifts.
