Calling Hours and Funeral Services for Karen Hand (EMS Line-of-Duty Death)

Calling hours for Karen Hand will take place on Thursday October 7 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Friday October 8 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 noon, all at the Lisle Fire Station, 9090 State Route 79 in Lisle, NY.
Emergency Services agencies wishing to send a vehicle or apparatus to participate in the funeral procession are asked to call the EMS Coordinator at 607-778-2184. All agencies are requested to observe a limit of one vehicle per agency to participate in the procession.

Construction Project at Wilson Medical Center Special Planning For Ambulance Traffic Flow

On Tuesday, September 14 at approximately 6:00 am, demolition will begin at the former First Baptist Church at the intersection of Main and Baldwin Streets in the Village of Johnson City.
This property is owned by UHS and plans are underway to construct additional patient, physician and staff parking to accommodate our needs on the Wilson campus.

This demolition will require some single lane traffic during the daytime for the first week of the project between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. The single lane traffic will occur on Main Street and as you turn onto Baldwin Street toward the Wilson Medical Center Emergency Department.

UHS security staff will be in contact with the Main Street construction flag persons to quickly and efficiently coordinate ambulance arrivals. At no time will ambulances be unable to access the ambulance entrance off Main Street onto Baldwin Street.

We believe these changes will make ambulance arrival a quicker and safer process for you as well as our patients. We know that the additional off-street parking will make the entire area less congested for both arriving and departing ambulances.
