The collections include vintage circus posters, World War I posters, railway and trolley items, postcards and memorabilia from local Massachusetts towns, and antique and vintage padlocks.

19th century American art and American Impressionism drove stellar results in Shannon’s fall auction held October 24th. The sale totaled over $3 million, with 80 percent of the 183 lots sold.

Items include two ABA championship rings; a Hall of Fame ring; a 1975 ABA MVP trophy; a 1969 State Championship ring; a personalized Rolex watch; and a 1975 Game Presentation ball.
Expected top lots include a 24-inch diameter White Rose Dealer petroliana sign, a 1930s-era Packard “Approved Service” five-foot dealer sign, and a Canadian Black Cat Cigarettes sign.
Top lots included a Chinese silk dragon robe, likely Qing Dynasty ($16,577) and a pair of Arthur Brett & Sons marble-top chinoiserie cabinets ($5,142). The auction was held in Atlanta, Ga.
