Some of the items are from the estate of Helen Mary Keyes, who had long and storied ties to the Kennedy family, dating to when her father was the dentist to Joe and Rose Kennedy’s children.

The categories included Western and Native Americana, Gold Rush, mining, coins and currency, railroadiana, tokens, philatelic and bottles. The Ron Reed and Ken Prag collections headlined.

The Art Deco to Post-Modern Art & Design auction, starting at 10 am Eastern, will feature contemporary and modern art and furniture, and the collection of interior designer Bill Stewart.

A copy of Mark Twain’s Adventures of Tom Sawyer sold for $22,990; a letter signed by Washington and Jefferson brought $21,780; and a three-volume set of Dickens’s Great Expectations hit $16,940.

The March 1st Toys auction features the late Howard Meyer Legacy Collection. The Petroliana & Advertising auction has petroliana, advertising signs, toys, soda advertising & model planes.

The sale included rare antique and vintage maps, charts, atlases, decorative prints, illuminated manuscripts and historical documents from late 15th century to mid-20th century.
