BRISTOL, UNITED KINGDOM - July 29, 2026 - TD Roofing Contractors LTD, a family-run roofing company serving residential and commercial customers throughout Bristol, is helping homeowners make more informed roofing decisions by offering free 4K drone roof surveys with every inspection. The service provides detailed aerial footage of roofs before any repair recommendations or quotations are made, allowing customers to see potential issues firsthand rather than relying solely on written reports.

Many roofing problems develop gradually and remain hidden from view until they become serious. Damage to chimney stacks, cracked lead flashing, deteriorating ridge tiles, failing guttering, or aging slate fixings often cannot be accurately assessed from ground level, making a thorough roof inspection essential before undertaking repairs.

"Most roofing issues simply can't be diagnosed properly from the ground," said Thomas O'Doherty, owner of TD Roofing Contractors LTD. "We've seen too many homeowners spend money fixing the wrong problem because nobody had taken the time to inspect the roof properly. Our drone surveys remove the guesswork by showing customers exactly what's happening above their homes."

Using high-resolution 4K drone technology, TD Roofing Contractors captures detailed aerial images and video covering all major roofing components, including slate and tile condition, ridge and verge lines, valley junctions, chimney stacks, flashing, flat roofing areas, and guttering systems. Customers can review the footage alongside the company's recommendations, providing greater transparency throughout the inspection process.

The service is especially valuable for Bristol homeowners living in Conservation Areas, where roofing materials and repair methods may need to comply with planning requirements. Older properties often require traditional materials such as reclaimed Welsh slate or lime mortar for chimney repairs, and selecting inappropriate replacement materials could create additional costs or planning complications in the future.

"Our goal isn't simply to sell roofing work," O'Doherty explained. "It's to help homeowners understand the actual condition of their roof. If repairs are needed, they can clearly see why. If the roof is still in good condition, we'll tell them that too. We believe people should never feel pressured into making expensive decisions without clear evidence."

Beyond its complimentary drone inspections, TD Roofing Contractors provides a full range of residential and commercial roofing services, including new roof installations, roof repairs, slate roof restoration, EPDM flat roofing, chimney repairs and repointing, uPVC guttering, gutter repairs, and emergency leak response.

Recognizing that roofing emergencies rarely happen during normal business hours, the company also offers a rapid two-hour emergency response service across Bristol for urgent leaks and storm-related roof damage. This 24-hour emergency support helps minimize water intrusion and reduce the risk of additional property damage while permanent repairs are arranged.

With more than 20 years of roofing experience, TD Roofing Contractors serves all Bristol BS postcodes and has built its reputation on quality workmanship, honest recommendations, and responsive customer service. The company is fully insured, Checkatrade vetted, and backs major roofing projects with a comprehensive 10-year workmanship guarantee.

Homeowners and business owners throughout Bristol can schedule a free drone roof survey to better understand the condition of their roof before committing to repair or replacement work.
