Is EMC and Conexon Connect Turning a Blind Eye to Unpaid Contractors?

Jimmy Black the Journeyman is not only Telecom Technician, he is also an accomplished Musician, businessman, and actor with a Billboard plaque for a number one record and is exposing severe payment issues within the Grady market Fiber project. After completing work assigned by Benton Technical Services through DC Installs for Conexon Connect he hasn’t been paid. It’s been over 7 months Bedell has yet to receive compensation for his services of installation of over 30 plus internet customer for Conexon Connect and is facing a staggering $12,000 plus expenses. I’ve reached out to Benton Technical Services and Conexon Connect; meanwhile Benton is giving nothing but excuses and Conexon Connect has no response.

Despite initial promises of payment from Benton and follow-ups it have yielded nothing but silence. The lack of support during critical project phases forced contractors to source their own supplies and navigate an ineffective system that left them in the dark.

Bedell’s outreach to fellow technicians has uncovered a troubling reality—over 57 individuals are dealing with similar billing discrepancies related to Benton Communications and others. This widespread issue, occurring all across America, highlights a concerning trend where technicians are routinely completing work but being ripped off, as companies retain the funds intended for contractor payments. My story is about EMC, Conexon Connect and Benton Technical Services but there are many other individuals dealing with the same situation with other companies all across America. Should funding be put on hold for this type of behavior? This situation raises the question: Is EMC, along with Conexon Connect turning a blind eye to the struggles of their contractors?

Expressing frustration over potential discrimination and a systemic disregard for communication, Bedell stated, “This unacceptable situation cannot continue. I am prepared to escalate this matter to ensure fair compensation for my work and for those who are similarly affected.”
