(New York, NY) - January, 2022 … As non-fungible tokens (NFTs) allow art collectors to own limited digital assets, music projects have started to gain more traction in the growing marketplace. Music artist JP REYNOLDS is joining the movement today with the release of “Long Game,” the first 3-part installment of his Soul Raps collection, an unfolding music exhibit with monthly additions throughout 2022. The collection is available on OpenSea.
Each installment features previously discarded songs created between 2017 and 2021. And there are three types of NFTs associated with each song: a lyric video, a scavenger hunt collectible, and a full song visualization. With storytelling lyrics that explore cultural, romantic, spiritual, and ideological meaning blended with a bevy of soulful soundscapes and varied song structures, each piece is tied together by the mindstate of a young Black American man on a journey to be.
“Always steadied by a long term vision, I started out in 2015 with a successful crowdfunding campaign, and I have remained independent since then. I thought these tracks would never see the light of day so I’m really grateful to feel so revived by this evolving technology and expanding community. It feels good to experiment. And I’m excited to get my music projects on the blockchain.”
