Khartoum (September 05, 2021) - As part of its commitment towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGS), CTC Group in Sudan sets its focus on social responsibilities to provide a positive impact.
Under the leadership of Mr. Ahmed Amin Abdellatif, CTC carries out its operations under the tagline of “Moving Forward” and being a leader in the Sudanese agricultural market, the group stresses on its responsibility towards the society, environment and the local culture. Mr. Abdellatif has set five SDGs under the UN Global Impact in which CTC is a signatory and commits to play its part to ensure ethical business practices.
Mr. Ahmed Abdellatif announced that the first of these five SDGs is the “No Poverty” that aims to increase productivity for staple crops through increased agricultural production sustainability and the utilization of agro-technologies. This is followed by the Zero Hunger SDG which aims to provide smallholder farmers an opportunity to engage in various capacity building and in-field support to support achieve positive results. Third is the Decent Work & Economic Growth; this translates to enhanced work environment in which employees of the group are offered benefits such as door-to-door transport, breakfast meals at work and social protection measures, all free of charge. The forth SDG Mr. Abdellatif spoke about is Life on Land, which aims at improving agricultural practices by providing farmers with the right technology packages, sufficient training and machinery. Last but not least, the fifth SDG promotes CTC welcomeness to partnerships that will leave a lasting impact on the local communities. This is SDG is known as “Partnerships for the Goals” and it welcomes farmers, entrepreneurs and even skilled labor.
Mr. Abdellatif states that the group aims to achieve its UN SDG goals by 2030 and to that end, CTC Foundation continues its operations to only strive as a successful enterprise, but to also provide benefit to the people in Sudan and work towards improving their quality of life.

Mr. Ahmed Amin Abdellatif is the president of CTC Group, one of the leading business groups in Sudan specializing in the agricultural sector, consumer electronics and information and communication technologies. He has led the group to transform from a small family business into its state today, housing over 1500 employees. He received his education in several universities around the UK; Reading University, Cambridge University and IMD.
