There are many factors that can prevent us from doing things that we know will be good for our health. I was just 19 when I first became aware of meditation. At that time, I was finishing my first academic degree. I had just begun to research the positive effects that meditation can have on our lives. My meditation exposure was very scientific. Meditation is good to your heart, your stress levels, as well as for your general health. I will only describe it in scientific and medical terms.
I knew that meditation was good for me but I didn’t really care about blood pressure. I was a typical 19-yearold student and didn’t pay much attention to the “long term effects”. I did experience the benefits of meditation, and I am glad I did. However, I didn’t realize it was something I needed to do regularly. I found it enjoyable to meditate, but I was “too busy” to commit to regular meditation. I meditated only intermittently, and not on any consistent basis. click for more info
When I met people who had been practicing meditation for a while, it was a turning point in my life. These people shared with my the positive effects meditation has on growth. They explained to me that meditation was a great way for spiritual, emotional, and physical growth. I realized that meditation was so much more than a good idea just for “medical/physical” reasons. It forced me to begin practicing regularly. I had always been interested in growth and this was the path that I wanted to follow. I read a book about meditation immediately and started practicing it regularly. Because it is so important to me that I grow here on the planet, I started meditation every day, twice per day.
The best way to help someone meditate on a regular basis is by finding a “reason”. Other things can take priority over meditation if you don’t have a compelling reason. If you place work, making money, socializing, or working first, you’ll find it hard to find the time to meditate. If meditation is more than just for its medical benefits, that it also improves your happiness, spiritual wellbeing, and so on, you will realize why you need to meditate. kubera mantra for wealth
