(Feb 03, 2021) - “The Fairy Child” is a book that has been authored by J.D. Manders. While being an avid historian and technical writer, J.D. Manders wrote “The Fairy Child” in 2004 while he was in Iraq serving as a member of U.S. Army National Guard in order to connect to his two wonderful daughters. In the book “The Fairy Child”, readers find that Lily and Sarah are left to work out their lives on their own as their father goes to war and they find their mother succumbing to ill health. As the children keep on playing in the yard, they find some real-life fairies under some bushes in a small marketplace.
In due course of time, Lily disappears suddenly with the fairies. Eventually this leads Sarah to follow her sister into the magical land of the fairies. In the world of the fairies, Sarah and Lily came to know that an evil elf which has kidnapped a young fairy prince. In order to save the fairy prince, Sarah and Lily joins a war against the witch as well as her large army of goblins. In their path they also meet with some allies and deal with many dangers. Eventually they learn the important lessons of friendship and self-reliance. The story is meant to express the inner strength and will of the family members who are left behind.
“Fairy tales have a remarkable ability to help children deal with anxiety. This is why I wrote ‘The Fairy Child,’” J.D. Manders said.
