The Battle Between Honesty and Deception: A Grand Debate considers the opposites of honesty versus deception. Having worked for many years as a licensed clinical psychologist, author Herman Kagan takes a scientific stance on a number of different topics including evolution, leadership, and mental health. Using the concepts of honesty and deception to lead the conversation, the players work to prove which is more prevalent in society today.
Has honesty ceased to exist in our world today? Has it ever truly existed?
The final battle will reveal the truth.
Herman Kagan is a retired California licensed clinical psychologist, who specialized in treating abused children and their families. He worked for a private psychiatric hospital, the California Youth Authority and the Mental Health division of Ventura County. He has a Ph.D. from The University of Arizona in Tucson and taught classes at The University of California in Santa Barbara.
