While researching Tropical Fruit Wholesaler, Tropical Vegetables Wholesale Supplier I came across several online distributors that were selling the exact same products that I needed. I researched their company to make sure that I was getting a good deal and decided to take a chance and buy from them. This is what I found out about them.
While working with Tropical Fruit Wholesaler, I discovered that they sell freeze dried fruits that were packaged in a variety of ways. The prices of these freeze dried, frozen goods ranged from a few dollars up to a few hundred for a small box of items.
Freeze dried, frozen fruit is good for use during the summer months and is a good way to have good tasting fresh frozen fruit. All of the products I bought cost under a dollar a piece, which made me think that Tropical Fruit Wholesaler was selling the best prices around. However, after I researched some more, I discovered the price range they were offering was just not very competitive.
In addition to the price, Tropical Fruit Wholesaler was also selling all of their products through the internet, which was a huge disadvantage because of the fact that most of the products I purchased had to be shipped to me. It took two weeks for most of the items to arrive and that took away any savings I may have gotten from the prices I found.
The worst part about Tropical Fruit Wholesaler is that you have to order from them by going through the "buy now" button. For someone who does not have much time or can't wait that long, this may not be an option. For those who know they will have no problem getting all of their orders in before the summer ends, then that may be a viable option.
What I would suggest doing is looking for another wholesaler that sells frozen dried fruit items that can be easily ordered. I found that a wholesaler that sells products on eBay is an excellent alternative. They do not charge a shipping or handling fee, have no minimum purchase requirement, and will not send you any food that you do not order.
The items that they offer are frozen, shelf stable, and have no expiration date. If you have never had the opportunity to purchase this type of food, then I highly recommend going with this method. It's fast, easy, and you don't even have to go to the store.
When I contacted Tropical Fruit Wholesaler, they did not seem very interested in what I had to say. They only wanted to sell me their products and I wanted to order them. Once I asked about pricing, I learned that they only charged me a flat rate for ordering their products and I didn't get anything for the items that I did not purchase.
After investigating Tropical Fruit Wholesaler further, I learned that I would have to pay a "breakage" fee of about twenty dollars per item if I ever wanted to cancel the order. I thought this was a little on the high side, but because of how the "buy now" button works, it was perfectly fine.
I told them that I would have to go ahead and order something at least two times before I got it. I figured it was pretty much impossible to do so and was surprised to find out that they would allow me to cancel any time. The next day, they sent me a check for the total amount of the order that I had placed and I never received the product.
I learned that it is possible to order a product and then they would ship it to me, but the customer will have to pay shipping and handling fees, a "breakage" fee, and some other small charges. The "buy now" button on their website also doesn'tseem to work for anyone else but you so your food will not ship until you order the product.
A good wholesaler should stand behind their customers when they get an order and should refund or issue a credit to their customers if they don't receive the items that they ordered. If you buy from a wholesaler that treats its clients like this, you should find a new company to work with.
