First, you'll need to unscrew the gearbox itself and check the gasket that seals the gearbox to the engine. If it's a fast ring that's not lubricated properly, the gasket could leak and ruin the engine. After this, you'll need to remove the intercooler which will help clear the power steering fluid from the engine.

The first thing you'll need to do is add a new filter and you can get a new filter for under $40 at any local auto parts store. Now that you have this, you'll need to reinstall the intake manifold. If the filter wasn't changed, you'll want to remove the factory filter, but if it was, then you can simply replace it.

Next, you'll need to remove the radiator support bracket and gearbox bracket. This is because the bracket will damage the engine if it is in place while you're doing this. Also, if you're doing a full gearbox repair, this may not be the proper place to start the repair job.

Once the gearbox is removed, the wiring harness should be tucked away safely. Before you put it back together, you'll need to make sure that everything is properly connected and the wires are in place.

For new bushings, you can use some new silicone oil to seal the nuts. Make sure that you don't forget to remove the old oil and then wipe the dirt off the new oil. Once you've done this, you can re-grease the screws and re-install the gearbox.

After the nuts are greased, it's time to reinstall the transmission with the ground wire up and the power steering fluid hose connected. The vehicle needs to run through a code check before you can install the transmission into the engine. You'll also want to get a new gasket to make sure that the transmission lines are always running correctly.

The next step is to apply some sealant to the inner part of the plug so that it'll stay dry. You'll also want to put a new gasket on the plug before you re-attach the engine. This will help you run smoothly when you're installing the engine later.

After the plug has been installed, you'll need to re-install the motor and its gaskets. It's a good idea to run some new motor oil into the holes and keep them clean and dry. Make sure that you use a dab of Teflon tape around the plug to help it stay in place.

Now that the transmission is all in place, you'll need to get it into the engine and reinstall the cams. Make sure that the shims are properly aligned before you reinstall the gears.
