Poland, Central Europe, (February 17, 2020): With simple melodies, dances and often naughty lyrics, Disco Polo has become a favorite genre of music for many music lovers everywhere. EFFECTowni, one of the best known zespoły disco polo (Disco Polo bands) in Poland, is elated at the resurgence of this style of music in the new millennium and plans to celebrate this with its musical performances in 2020.

A popular dance music genre, Disco Polo was created in the late 1980s in Poland. This kind of music peaked in popularity during the mid-90s but saw an eventual decline then, only to witness a resurgence in 2007. According to its frontman singer and songwriter Marek Biedrzycki, his band takes pride in being able to contribute to the reemergence of Disco Polo music and hopes to make the genre reach more fame and adulation with its musical performances across the globe.
