The best way to start a diet is to consult with a nutritionist who will help you maintain your menu full, balanced and consider all your individual health issues. There is a list of plant-based products, which are rich in calcium. But it’s not the only thing you should pay attention to if you’re a vegan. Follow these rules to keep your teeth healthy.

1. Eat greens

Spinach, salads, green onions, parsley, basilica, and cilantro are your best friends. These greens are not only rich in calcium but also in vitamins. It is good for your gastrointestinal tract and cardiovascular system that give your teeth and gums an excellent blood supply.

2. Become friends with the sun

Sunlight boosts the production of vitamin D, which is important for the health of our bones and teeth. Just don’t get too fond of it and never forget to use products with the proper SPF to protect your skin from UV radiation.

3. Eat legumes

They are not only an excellent source of proteins vegans lack with meat products but also are good for your oral health. They are rich in substances good for your general health that concerns the state of your teeth and gums as well.

4. Drink fresh juices

Fresh fruit or vegetable juices are vitamin bombs that boost your health in many ways. However, be mindful about sour fruits, because their acid is aggressive towards your dental enamel. Rinse your mouth with clean water after you eat them.

5. Take extra care of your dental hygiene

The cleaner your teeth are the better for their health. It’s easier for bacteria to attack weakened teeth. Even if you try to provide your teeth with all the necessary elements scrupulously, good hygiene will help you keep the bacteria away.

6. Visit your dentist regularly

Preventive visits to a family dentist will help you control your oral health. If the doctors see something disturbing, you will receive a recommendation for adding some extra elements into your diet to provide better protection for your teeth. In a number of cases, vitamin therapy is helpful.

It is possible to stay healthy on a vegan diet but only if you treat your health and daily menu responsibly. Without it, being healthy is impossible with any type of diet.
