(December 31, 2018) – It is generally recommended that before entering into any new endeavor, the good bad and the ugly should be carefully evaluated to arrive at an informed decision. This holds true for sports as well. As he was an athlete when he was a student, Derrick Murphy reveals the good, the bad and the ugly thing of the sport from this own life experiences in his new podcast.
As he was an athlete right from his very young age, he was not able to concentrate on any other things in his life. Now, he has used podcasting as the method to regain his excitement and passion in a craft. So, he says that the ugly thing about sports is that it will not let the athlete look at the other sides of his/her life. Most part of life will go towards practice, practice and practice. So, beauties around will be totally neglected.
Of course, physical fitness is a very good thing about sports. To remain active in sports, one needs to be physically fit. So, regular exercises are obviously part and parcel of life. Big thanks to the sports that helped Derrick Murphy to gain the best fitness levels.
What is bad about sports is that once an individual gains popularity, his/her personal space will be lost totally. Wherever the person goes, there will be fans around and nowadays media is always around. So, the absence of privacy is yet another bad thing about sports.
Once a person gains popularity, another possibility of absence of privacy comes from companies that call for ads. This can be both positive and negative at times. It is positive when it brings the person great revenue. But, it can be negative, at times. Particularly, when the product advertised faces some issues, the sportsperson will be in trouble for endorsing such a product.
When talking about his podcast, Murphy reveals that it helped him gain is groove back and he claims that it is more than just a mic. From the very title of this book now available at Amazon, it is believed that this book in addition to talking about his sports life, talks more about his musical career.
With his Flagrant2pod, Murphy has already brought about a change in the minds of people and their perspective to the world of sports. Not just sports, he has talked about pop culture and entertainment on this podcast with tracks like the love you mom, believe & belong and others.
The good thing about Murphy’s creations is that whatever is on his mind, he uses to share it with the world and even he has the ability to bring individuals on-board. With this ability, he won the hearts of people for hit singles and his podcasts in the music industry.
Even on his podcast “Why not Sports”, this former D1 athlete has talked about how sports affect the lives of individuals as leaders, father, and entrepreneur and as a husband. To be more specific, he has found ways to put in all these roles together to make sense.
