Good news is always worth reading and in this instance a dog was saved by a locksmith in South Austin. A life saved is a good thing and this report has good feelings all over it.
Last Monday at the Costco a German Sheppard got itself locked in a car by its owner. People started to become concerned when the inside of the vehicle got steamed up windows. When peering inside a German Sheppard panted in the Sun. But luckily for this dog there was a locksmith close by.
Famous South Austin locksmith came to the location when called. They opened up the doors to the old Buick in just a matter of minutes and retrieved the dog. The dogs name which was Brutus turned out to be fine. The owner said that he simply forgot that the dog was with him and he walked inside to go shopping at Costco.
We interviewed the locksmith that opened the car door and he had this to say about hot cars and pets; “This is not the first one that I have this Summer 2018. I come across calls like this all of the time. The dog is lucky that I was close by because death caused by heat stroke happens quick in a car. And the owner is lucky that no one broke the window.” The locksmith concluded.
