The unusual excursion railway tour "The Palace on Wheels" is among the ten best journeys by train around the world. The trip lasts seven days and on its way opens the most diverse India to the tourist - forts, palaces, fortresses and castles, rich wildlife and a bright, colorful fauna.

The train has 14 comfortable car with passenger compartments, each is named after one of the royal palace of Rajasthan and the corresponding interior. There are two types of rooms on the train - deluxe cabin and super deluxe cabin and two restaurents - Maharaja and Maharani restaurants serve traditional European dishes, Chinese delicacies and Indian delicacies.
