If you need information about First Baptist Church, you've come to the right place. This website is designed with you in mind. We are excited about what God is doing in and through the ministry of First Baptist Church and want to share our enthusiasm with you. This site will acquaint you with the ministries and activities of the church.

First Baptist Church is a great place to build a life. We are a church combining the stability of more than 150 years of ministry in our community with the excitement of a growing church family. We worship the God who was before all time with a more contemporary style of worship. Ours is a church of people from diverse backgrounds and ages who are bound together by the warmth of God's love. We are concerned about the great stresses facing individuals, couples and families today. We have found that the major questions asked by people today have answers in the Bible.
We believe the church you attend should play a significant part in your spiritual growth. Growth is a definite sign of life. Those who have experienced the abundant life of Jesus will evidence that by their spiritual growth. But too often, the correlation between a person's church involvement and a growing relationship with God is only coincidental. While the choice to follow God is a personal one, we desire to be a church that fosters and encourages a vital and vibrant faith in the life of our church family.
We are a church that offers a sense of family. In the transient New York metro area, First Baptist is more than a place to worship. It is a family to which you can belong. First Baptist is a growing church, but it is still small enough for you to make new friends and nurture relationships.

We have an obligation to those around us. In addition to benefiting the lives of those who are part of our church, we recognize the church's responsibility to our community and to our world. It is our desire to build caring relationships in our multi-ethnic community. We seek to serve our community and county so that friends and neighbors will recognize our church family as a significant community asset. We want to share the love of Jesus with friends next door and around the world.
Our Vision: With God's help, we seek to be:

"A Community where God is at work, lives are changed, broken hearts are healed, hopes become real, and people are on fire for God and His Word."

We'd like to hear from you. We hope this website will answer most of the questions you may have about the First Baptist Church of Tarrytown. We invite you to contact us, if you have questions we may be able to answer personally. And we extend a warm and open invitation for you to worship with us.
