Welcome to Upstate Neurology Consultants. We offer this website to both new and current patients as a complement to the patient-doctor visit.
Serving the neurological needs of the upstate New York area since 1992, we offer some of the most comprehensive care in the region. To better serve you, we have five physicians and two locations.
We are also involved in clinical research through Upstate Clinical Research, LLC, which is located at Suite 205 in our building. This facility enables us to keep current in the latest research and treatments in the field of neurology.
A neurologist is a special type of physician who diagnoses and treats disorders of the nervous system. This includes diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. Neurologists may serve as a consultant to other physicians as well as providing long-term care to patients with chronic neurological disorders.
Some of the more common problems that a neurologist will diagnose and treat are strokes, seizures (epilepsy), headaches, dementias (including Alzheimer's disease), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, and chronic pain.
Our subspecialties include epilepsy and neuro-physiology, as well as electrodiagnostic medicine and neuro-rehabilitation. We also have special skill in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, neuropathy, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), migraine, and other central nervous system abnormalities.
We can admit patients in many area hospitals including St. Peter's Hospital and Albany Memorial Hospital, both in Albany. We accept most insurances. For more information, click on the links available on the side bar to your left. Please contact us anytime with questions or to make an appointment.
