Welcome to Adirondack Rehabilitation Medicine (ARM)
ARM is a medical practice servicing patients in the North Country, Saratoga county and beyond. Our doctors are specialists in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) or Physiatry. The doctors and mid-level providers see patients for a variety of conditions in our multiple offices, Glens Falls and Saratoga Hospital, and many local nursing facilities.

What is a Physiatrist?
A Physiatrist is a doctor with expertise in a variety of neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. In addition to evaluating and treating peripheral nerve and muscle disorders, sports and musculoskeletal injuries, strokes and other conditions, physiatrist perform diagnostic tests, particularly EMG/NCV studies. In addition to working closely with primary care and specialty doctors, we also work extensively with physical, occupational and speech therapists as well as prosthetists and orthotists(artificial limb and brace makers).

Physiatrists are doctors (MD or DO degree) who attend standard medical schooling, then train in at least one year of internship and three additional years of specialty training. Physiatrists are not physical therapists, podiatrists, or psychiatrists!

However, we work with all of the above and other primary care doctors,surgeons, and other specialists.
