Tuckner, Sipser, Weinstock & Sipser, LLP is a progressive New York City law firm dedicated to the empowerment of women in the workplace. We represent individuals experiencing all forms of workplace discrimination, specifically those affecting women, including sexual harassment, equal pay, pregnancy discrimination and family and medical leave act violations.
We represent women across a broad spectrum of workforce issues. From sexually harassed “Workfare” employees to senior executives involved in complex severance negotiations, our goal is always the same: to advance the best interests of our client from a financial, emotional and social justice perspective.

At Tuckner, Sipser our mission is to advance the cause of working women so that ultimately, women will not have to sacrifice fulfillment at home for a successful career. We share the view of feminist Katha Pollitt, who wrote in The Nation on May 13, 2002:
“More equality and support, not lowered expectations, is what women need, at work and at home. It’s going to be a long struggle. If women allow motherhood to relegate them to secondary status in both places….. we’ll never get there….. a world with fewer female surgeons, playwrights and professors strikes me as an inferior place to live.”

We are civil rights lawyers who champion the rights of women against the discriminatory practices of employers ranging from the dwindling tiny independent company to the massively large corporate behemoth, where the majority of working women toil today, given the expansion of our government and work force into a veritable Corporatocracy. Fewer corporations than ever before now control more of us and the goods, services and information we rely upon (6 large corporations have taken over virtually all 6000 television stations in this country and almost all 15,000 radio stations and 80% of the newspapers. Their only obligation is to their shareholders, not us).

We speak truth to power at Tuckner, Sipser, in addition to speaking publicly on issues of workplace gender equality and discrimination against women (see Public Speaking). Tuckner, Sipser is dedicated to assisting and empowering working women with the struggles of true gender-blind equality in the terms and conditions of work that is only related to the value each individual woman adds to her work environment.
