CLIFFORD FORSTADT has been practicing law in Central New York for over thirty years. A graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law, his experience ranges from civil and criminal trial and appeals work in all major court levels in New York State, to federal district and appeals Courts.
DIVORCE law, separation, custody, visitation, child support and related family problems, all have been areas in which he has focused his practice.From preparing separation agreements, negotiating the division of business assets, to litigating custody and financial issues, he has brought to his practice determination and the aggressive pursuit of his clients' goals.
BANKRUPTCY, debt adjustment, and protection of consumers' rights have been areas of concentration. He has represented hundreds of clients in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings, and litigated significant issues in bankruptcy court. He has lectured to professional groups comprised of attorneys, accountants, and financial professionals, regarding bankruptcy, and the aspects of the federal Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. He is admitted to practice law in all the courts of the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Western District of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
