Barbara Ann Gervase, Esq.
Barbara is the managing and founding partner of the Law Office of Gervase & Vallone, P.C. She has been practicing law since 1985. She has devoted her practice to the areas of matrimonial, family and real estate law. Barbara is a member of the Matrimonial Committee, Real Estate Committee and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association.
She is currently the president of the Nassau County Womens Bar Association. She is the co-chairperson of the Golf Outing Committee for the Nassau County Womens Bar Association which is dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research and awareness. She sits on the Judiciary Committee of the Nassau County Womens Bar Association. She also volunteers her time to serve on a panel for the Childrens Law Center located in the Nassau County Family Court.
Barbara is a trained mediator and collaborative attorney. She is a member of the fee dispute panel of the Nassau County Bar Association which arbitrates fee disputes between attorneys and their clients in matrimonial proceedings.
She is a past president of the Long Island chapter of the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women. She is a frequent lecturer at first time home buyers seminars.
Barbara graduated from Southwestern University School of Law and Central Connecticut State University with honors. She lives on Long Island with her husband.
David Vallone, Esq.
David has been practicing law since 1991. His practice is devoted to the areas of matrimonial, family and real estate law. He is a trained mediator and collaborative attorney.
David is a member of the Matrimonial, Real Property and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committees of the Nassau County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Professional Standards and Development Committee of the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals and a member of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation.
He is a graduate of Stony Brook University, where he was a member of the national political science honor society, and Touro Law School, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board.
David is a lifelong resident of Long Island and resides with his wife and two (2) children.
Susan G. Mintz, Esq.
Susan has been admitted to the practice of law since 1992. She has devoted the entirety of her practice to matrimonial and family law. She is a seasoned litigator. Susan is the lead trial counsel for the majority of our contested litigation. In addition, Susan has been retained by other firms as trial counsel. Susan joined the firm in 2005 and has brought with her a wealth of knowledge and litigation experience.
Susan is a member of the Nassau County Womens Bar Association Golf Outing Committee which raises funds for breast cancer research and awareness. Susan is the chairperson of the Ethics Committee of the Nassau County Womens Bar Association and the immediate past chairperson of the Judiciary Committee.
She was the chairperson of the Installation Committee for the Nassau County Womens Bar Association and assisted with organizing donations to the Childrens Family Center at the Nassau County Family Court.
Susan graduated from Benjamin Cardoza School of Law and C.W. Post College with honors. While attending law school, Susan interned for Justice William Rigler in the Supreme Court in Kings County and was published in the Family Law Review Vol. 23 March 1991 , Where do Babies Come From.
Susan has been a resident of Nassau County for the past fifteen years where she resides with her three (3) children.
