Were heading into the holidays.
Help us bring a little joy to unfortunate women.
You can create a beautiful pillowcase or donate personal hygiene items or both. The YWCA depends on us to help support these women.
Now is the time to start thinking about our Holiday Pillow Case Project.
If you are not familiar with this, we donate personal hygiene items (list below), and stuff them in gorgeous handmade pillowcases to give to unfortunate women living at the YWCA.
We have been doing this for quite a few years now with great success.
The warmth and appreciation from these women are well worth the effort.
We need full size
(no hotel or samples size please) items. Many of these women have been forced from their homes and arrive at the Y with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Keep your eyes open for sales and specials or use your stash to create a pillowcase.
We need over 200 pillowcases to cover the need at the Y.
Here is a list of the items the shelters are looking for.
We appreciate any help we can get with this project.
There are instructions for the pillowcases and a list of the hygiene items Available at the counter
Deadline for donating, December 15
