Owned and operated by two Cornellians since its inception, this cozy and inviting little restaurant is known for its attention to detail, certainly underscored by the loving restoration of the building to evoke the ambiance of a turn-of-a-century country inn.
Step inside and your first impression gives you a taste of the warm hospitality to follow. As you are greeted by the proprietors, Toby McDonald and Bill Openshaw, your eyes dance over the shooting hunter green walls, carved oak furniture, authentic brass light fixtures, and whimsical appointments that immediately signal the start of a relaxed evening with personalized service.
The feast for the eyes is just the start. The menu features traditional American grilled fare as well as an assortment of contemporary pasta entrees. Accompaniments are given thoughtful attention -- right down to the signature salad dressings and baby greens. Simply-prepared fresh seafood is a specialty of the house, and there is a wide variety to tempt you. A full complement of wines, spirits, and imported beers will add to our enjoyment of a meal served by an experienced staff who know how to make a good time even better.
