Welcome to Cascata Winery
Founded by two college professors in 1995, Cascata Winery embodies the fusion of art and wine in a quaint boutique setting.We strive to put onto the label what we believe to be in the bottle, a work of art. So each of our labels is an original painting by award winning artist Coralee (founding professor and resident artist). Her work however does not end there Each year we create new vintages of wines which means a new painting to match all of our wines. The only two labels not created by Coralee are, and were, created by family. The Art by Coralee Gallery at Cascata Winery includes Coralee's original artwork and paintings that appear on Cascata's wine labels as well as occasional shows by other regional artists. We offer special artist workshops led by Coralee. Coralee can still be found at the winery painting and chatting with customers but she has handed the keys to her daughter and son-in-law (Sara and Kurtis).
Our wines include examples of dry and semi-dry Vinifera, dry and semi-dry French-American Hybrids, and sweet Labrusca. Seasonally we also have a house specialty melomel (Cranberry Bog Mead) and Elderberry wine. The winery also loves catering to large groups. We do a wonderful, and entertaining, sit down tasting for groups of 10 or more (by reservation).
Cascata Winery's wine tasting room, Art by Coralee Gallery, gift shop, and B&B are located in a rambling 19th century home surrounded by gardens, ancient trees, a fishpond and an expansive lawn. Kids are also welcome; we have a playground out by the fish pond and board games inside. Our B&B and tasting room are both pet friendly So come, bring a picnic, buy a bottle of wine, and relax with us...
