We Can Help You Meet Your Goals
Patients come to the Vision Training Center to achieve individual goals -- goals which involve personal improvement in various areas of their lives. Students and secretaries speak of wanting to "get ahead." Executives want to increase their efficiency. Parents want sons and daughters to improve academically. Others, children and adults alike, want to see more clearly without lenses. All want to prevent their vision from getting worse. And they want to accomplish these goals through "natural means" without surgery or drugs.
The World's Against Us
In our modern world there are so many demands which cause strain and require great effort. There are pressures at school, at home, on the job. Psychological pressures weigh upon us, but even more, physiological demands upon our visual systems create stress. Computers at work and/or school assignments at home, compounded with constricted and artificially-lit environments, make us huddle over desks for long, uninterrupted hours. Surely, this unnatural. Surely, this is harmful.
Understanding is Based on Vision
Excessive stress interferes with our abilities to process information from a major source: our vision. Vision -- which affects, directs and modifies almost every action and thought -- can become less efficient or dysfunctional as a result of stress. As we compensate, we can develop a myriad of vision problems along the way. Comprehension can suffer and we can fail to make necessary "connections."
Unclear in Every Way
Clear vision can also suffer. Adult eyesight, deteriorating as a result of daily use of computers, may simply be reacting to visual stress. Schoolchildren's eyesight can become increasingly nearsighted because they are unable to cope with intensified hours of reading. A once clear and sharp visual world can become fuzzy and indistinct. Visual functioning can change to cause lowered efficiency in the workplace and/or lower achievement in the classroom.
We Can Help
Patients undergoing modern vision therapy can minimize or reverse the effects of visual stress and improve visual efficiency in visually-related, visually-directed behavior, such as reading, writing, hitting a baseball, driving, and learning.
