Silver Creek Optical has been a landmark in the village's business district for the past twenty-eight years. Located at 41 Main Street (Route 20), between the library and post office, it was founded in 1974 by John and Patty Ford.
Mr. Ford, a New York State licensed optician and contact lens fitter, has dispensed each and every pair of eyeglasses since they opened for business. The Fords have dedicated their professional lives to the eyecare needs of the community, one family at a time. In a time of corporate chains, Mr. Ford is a health care provider with a personal touch.
