Recent news reports have announced the significant results of a study called the National Lung Screening Trial conducted by the National Cancer Institute and the American College of Radiology Imaging Network. The results of this study have proven that CT lung screening is successful as an early cancer detection tool for people with a history of smoking. The study found that there were 20% fewer deaths from lung cancer using low dose CT screening.
If you have discussed this study with your doctor and are a candidate for lung screening CT due to a long history of smoking now or in the past, we can accommodate you with no wait appointment times.
Our new CT offers increased speed of exam, lower dose and diagnostic precision.
