Port Chester Obedience Training Club (PCOTC) We Teach You to Teach Your Dog

In 2010 Port Chester Obedience Training Club celebrates 70 years as one of the leading dog training clubs in the Tri-State area. At our facility in White Plains, NY, we train in the companion dog sports of agility and rally, as well as obedience. Our Family Manners program aims to produce well-behaved dogs that are welcome in the family and the community. The club is quickly becoming a center for the popular, rapidly growing sport, K9 Nose Work.
Over these seven decades, our expertise in developing family dogs and Trial Champions has grown along with the variety of activities we offer.
Group classes are held during days, evenings and weekends. With over 60 classes scheduled each week, there are subjects, times and levels to fit almost everyone’s schedule. All breeds and mixed breeds are welcome in our training classes.
PCOTC is a member club of the American Kennel Club. As such, we are able to provide AKC-licensed Obedience, Rally, and Agility trials, as well as training matches. We invite experts to give seminars and workshops on a variety of subjects, from training techniques to canine health, to behavior issues. Our club meetings usually include an educational component.
Some dogs may require individual or in-house training before they're ready to participate in group training classes. Many of the club's instructors offer private training; call the club for details.
How we view dog training, in brief:

A well-trained dog is a joy to live with.
No matter what age your dog is, PCOTC will help your dog become a well-behaved family member.
We teach you to teach your dog. This begins a lifelong bond.

We use rewards and praise. Class is fun for both dog and owner.
Our instructors are experienced with all kinds of dogs: puppies, adults, seniors, purebreds and mixed breeds.

We're easy to get to, just off Interstate 287 in White Plains, New York, six miles east of the Tappan Zee Bridge. Our students come from Westchester, Putnam, and Fairfield Counties, Manhattan and the Bronx, Northern New Jersey, and Long Island.
