The primary goal of Hudson is to help each child reach full potential in all areas of life, through-out their life. Lessons promote the development of social skills, emotional growth, and physical coordination as well as cognitive preparation. The curriculum, under the direction of a specially prepared teacher, allows the child to experience the joy of learning, time to enjoy the process and ensure the development of self-esteem, and provides the experiences from which children create their knowledge.
At Hudson, you are our extended family. Hudson, unlike other programs that allow you to drop off your child and let them educate them, encourages the It takes a village statement. It takes more than a vigorous curriculum to allow the child or young teen to grow into a fully independent, capable human being, one that dreams they can do anything and then goes out to prove that they actually can. It takes nurturing, caring and compassion for all areas of his life. Parents are welcome to come in and share their stories, concerns and feeling whenever they need. Doors are never locked and a warm hand is always offered.
Each Montessori class, from toddlers through Middle school, operates on the principle of freedom within limits. Every program has its set of ground rules, which differs from age to age, but is always based on core Montessori beliefs-respect for each other and for the environment.

Hudson Country Montessori School has built a reputation for challenging students to exceed expectations. Every parent wants a happy child who excels both academically and socially. Since 1972, children from 15 months to middle school have blossomed by attending Hudson Country Montessori School.
Hudson Country Montessori School uses an individualized teaching method to challenge and inspire each child to their highest intellectual and moral potential. This approach is rooted in the teaching methods of Dr. Maria Montessori, a non-sectarian educator, who observed that no two students learn at the same pace nor do they necessarily learn best from the same methods. The Montessori classroom is organized into work centers where individual and small group instruction make the student the focal point of education.
Although Hudson offers rigorous academics, we also challenge our students to develop conviction in the attainment of strong moral and ethical values.
"Learning the right answers will get you through school. Learning how to learn will get you through life!"
Hudson teaches students to think, not simply to memorize, feed back, and forget. The basis of our approach is...
Young children are naturally curious and want to work with everything they can get their hands on.
......They absorb concepts and skills from their surroundings and peers almost through osmosis. Provide them with a challenging atmosphere and intriguing learning materials, and children will spontaneously investigate what they are and how they work. Learning can and should be as natural as breathing.
......Students of every age level learn best through hands-on experience, not simply by listening to their teachers explanations. They need opportunities to learn by trial, error and discovery.
