In January 1984 Dave Sullivan a life long resident of Waterville formed Sullivan Construction primarily as a masonry company.
In 1985 he established Sullivan Apartments with the purchase of a three unit apartment building. Since then it has expanded to include the ownership and management of forty rental units, mostly residential.
In 1986 Sullivan Construction started stick building houses. It has built and rehabbed many buildings over the years. In 1999 the masonry division was discontinued and Dave took a job with a large commercial builder, project managing large masonry projects. This evolved into a clerk of the works position with responsibility for overseeing many capital improvement projects at a large school district. Working in the commercial and instructional sector was a valuable experience; however residential housing was Daves first passion.
In 2006 Dave formed KD Homes as a firm dedicated to the design and completion of modular homes. Many suppliers were considered and Bill Lake Homes was selected as the best product line available. They are a small local manufacturer committed to their customers and dealers. All building projects are managed by Dave himself. This service is included with the sale of each home and sets KD Homes apart from its competitors. Many dealers encourage their customers to project manage their own building project; however the average individual may find it a daunting task. The time alone may be more than one can afford to invest. Then with limited understanding of construction practices, and costs, and the lack of knowledge of building codes the results can be disastrous. KD Homes guarantees there will not be any cost overruns ever and your home will meet all local codes.
