The Academy of Christian Leadership (ACL) is a day school established in 2003 to offer classical Christian education for high school grades six through twelve. Located just south of Albany, New York in the Town of Kinderhook, ACL attracts students from Columbia, Rensselaer, Greene, Albany, and Schenectady counties, as well as nearby Berkshire County, Massachusetts.

What makes ACL unique is expressed in our tagline: Achievement, Attitude, Adventure. Achievement speaks to the advantages of a classical Christian education, including languages like Latin, Hebrew, and Greek, as well as courses in Logic and Rhetoric. Attitude addresses the focus on Biblical standards tohelp students develop into courteous, honorable, responsible adults. Adventure sums up our optional Friday enrichment program, where we leave the classroom to enjoy all day sports, outdoor activities, traditional skills training, museums, theaters, community service, and much more.

Our son, Alex Malsan, graduated from ACL in 2008. He started at ACL the day the doors open. The change in him as he sought to grow in the Lord in a loving, nurturing atmosphere was wonderful to behold. He went from a child struggling to get C's to a young man getting A's and B's. But most importantly, he found a place where he was encouraged to pray and seek God's will and to grow in his Christian faith. He is currently in his second year of college with a major in elementary education and a concentration in music and he has been on dean's list every semester. His goal is to teach music in a Christian school and help others grow in their faith while they learn to succeed in life.Bonnie Malsan, RN
