Art of Acupuncture for infertility, allergies, pain management, insomnia and more
You are not alone. You probably know many people who have been through difficult or shocking experiences.
But did you know that unresolved trauma can result in:
Your unresolved trauma can be helped. There is hope!
Research has shown that the use of talk therapy and hypnotherapy are effective in treating trauma. Because talk therapy reaches mainly the conscious mind, it cannot directly address the "beneath the surface" beliefs in your subconscious mind.
Put another way, the conscious mind is the tip of the iceberg, the small part of the iceberg that you can see. The part of your mind that is below the surface, where the bulk of the iceberg exists, is where you store long term memories and trauma. Exploring this "beneath the surface" level (subconscious) will help free you from old behaviors and old patterns.
How I can help...
Hypnotherapy is like opening a back door into your subconscious mind. By accessing your "beneath the surface" beliefs and conclusions directly, you can change much more quickly than by other methods of therapy.
I use a 2 part process
The first part is using the techniques of cognitive-behavioral and gestalt therapies to gather information about areas of concern. The second part is using that information to guide the hypnotherapy.
I have found this system to be highly effective in the treatment of trauma related problems.
What you will gain...
You will begin making better choices.
Here's how: Everyone can remember a time when they made a decision that they later came to regret. It was usually the result of a hasty and impulsive decision making process. But each of us can also remember a time when we made a careful and thoughtful decision. These decisions usually turn out better. Part of the process is to reinforce the careful and thoughtful part of ourselves, turning them into internal strengths. This enables you to consistently make better choices in the future.
You will begin replacing old behaviors with new ones that serve you better.
As you gain understanding of how your problem behaviors have helped you, you can thank them for their service and begin to let them go. In their place, you will install new behaviors that serve you better.
Greater awareness of what you feel, both emotionally and physically.
Unresolved trauma keeps you "frozen" and unaware of feelings in your heart and in your physical body. As you begin to release that trauma, you will be more present and more aware of everything around you, including your emotional feelings and your body.
What will your next step be?
If you knew that you were carrying an invisible backpack of bricks, wouldn't you want to take it off? You can choose to carry on, as you have your whole life, thinking "I can manage it" or "It doesn't hurt that much". It's a choice we all have to make for ourselves.
You don't have to suffer from the after effects of trauma. You can be free of anxiety, depression and insomnia.
