At smartDESIGN architecture PLLC, we believe good design is a good investment and good insurance. smartDESIGN architecture PLLC was established to combine design skills and construction knowledge to reach goals commonly held but not commonly achieved among architects, clients, and contractors.

Ed Smart is now licensed as an architect in the states of Florida and Georgia.
smartDESIGN is renovating the historic Wiard Plow building at 33 Swan Street in Batavia. The building will eventually serve as the new offices for smartDESIGN.

Josh Bernard, a 2009 graduate of the Architecture Technology program at Alfred State College, recently joined the smartDESIGN staff as an intern architect.
The Masse Gateway Project was awarded a $1.5M RestoreNY grant. The concept was developed by smartDESIGN with the Mancuso Business Development Group. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2010.
smartDESIGN developed conceptual designs for the transformation of the interior of the Orleans YMCA, located in the historic armory building in Medina, NY.
smartDESIGN is assisting in the planning of a memorial at the Batavia Industrial Center (BIC) for Joseph L. Mancuso, the creator of the business incubator concept. The project was undertaken in 2009 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the BIC, the first business incubator in the world.
Todd Audsley is a member of the Design Committee for the Batavia Business Improvement District (BID).

smartDESIGN won First Prize in Finehomebuilding.com's Best Built-Ins contest with our custom entertainment center for a private house in North Java, NY. The entertainment center was built and installed by Thomas Pafk, a Roycroft Master Artisan.
