We are proud to be celebrating 25 years in business in the Ithaca area. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to our success including our talented crew.

Steele Steffy started Bumblebee Painters in March of 1985 with just himself and one truck. Today we employ several crews and you have probably seen our fleet of Bumblebee Vans around town. Although much has changed in the past 25 years, one thing still remains the same. Our commitment to quality work at a competitive price.

Do you have spray foam insulation that needs to be covered but you don't want to drywall? We can cover your insulation with a fire barrier coating that meets the building department's specifications and can be custom tinted and/or painted!

Have fire damage? We can soda blast it away! Soda blasting is non-toxic, doesn't make a huge mess and gets rid of odors!

We don't just do business in this community, we are a part of it as well. Steele grew up in the Fall Creek area of Ithaca and still lives there today. We are dedicated to helping our community and giving back whenever we can. Projects that we have donated our labor and materials to include the State Theater on State Stree in Ithaca, Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Serivces' volunteer remodeld house on West Hill in Ithaca, Jack Jensen's affordable green house on Madison Street in Ithaca and a house for Habitat for Humanity on Breed Road in Lansing.

In April of this year, the EPA came out with new Lead Regulations regarding any remodeling and/or painting project that disturbs more than six square feet. Each job must be tested to find out if there is lead present. If your job is positive for lead, you must be positive that the painter you hire is certified! At Bumblebee Painters, our crew has undergone the required training and the entire business has been lead certified by the EPA. You can be sure that we know the dangers of lead and how to correctly deal with lead based paint to make sure you, your family and your pets stay safe!
