Heather Allen started out as a writer, did some work in advertising, and then moved to Costa Rica where she found her true calling while working at a rehabilitation center for exotic wildlifethere, she became the adoptive mother to an orphaned three-toed sloth, three howler monkeys, and thousands of birds. After graduating with her DVM from Cornell in 2003, Dr. Allen moved to Buffalo, along with her husband and their two Australian shepherds. In 2007, she partnered with Dr. Jim Albert to open City Creatures Animal Hospital in North Buffalothe citys first new veterinary hospital in nineteen years
Our Dr. Jim Albert concludes his stint as the resident animal expert on Buffalo TV but, we look forward to seeing him in our living rooms again soon.

We are pleased to announce the addition of Nicole Argue has passed her board exam and is now on staff as a licensed veterinary technician. We also welcome our new licensed technician, Josh Domaracki, assistant, Robert Beavers, and receptionist, Jeffrey Matthews.
We have also acquired a beautiful high definition ultrasound. To celebrate, we will be running a special on abdominal sonograms throughout April! Ultrasound is an amazing non-invasive tool for diagnosing many disorders common in small animals.
