The Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort was the first full service resort in Lake Placid to become Smoke Free.

One-of-a-kind suites & specialty rooms, including fireplace rooms, two-room suites,& Kitchenette Suites are available to meet the needs of any traveler. Our hand picked staff has been called the friendliest in town & would be more than happy to assist you in planning your vacation. Whether it is recommendations on where to eat, or helping you decide if the bobsled ride or Santa's Workshop is a better fit for you, we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Our new restaurant, Generations is now open for breakfast,lunch and dinner. In keeping with the sustainable philosophy of the resort, the menus feature many foods that are grown and raised locally. Generations is currently being evaluated by the Green Restaurant Association to further assist us in learning how to operate a sustainable restaurant. The dining room is decorated with warm colors, wood accents, a bamboo wood floor, a stone fireplace and features artwork & photography from local artists. In the summer months, the outside deck of Generations showcases expansive views of the Golden Arrows Green Roof. In addition to providing fresh herbs for the restaurant, it grants a beautiful ecological backdrop and views of Mirror Lake, Whiteface Mountain and the High Peaks.

Our goal for the menu is to keep it as local and fresh as possible. Living in the Adirondacks provides extensive offerings in each season. Keeping it local allows us to showcase the many wonderful farms and products that are grown, raised and cultivated in New Yorks Adirondack region. As a resort we work hard every day to operate as sustainably as possible. Doing the same thing at the restaurant is just a natural extension of that.

Executive Chef David Hunt worked to create the menu along with the General Manager Mark Corr. The goal was to create a menu that was diverse in its offerings and reflect a balanced mix of price points.

Looking for nightlife? Start with a cocktail in the lounge in Generations Restaurant - Straight Shot.Be sure to take a good look at the drink menu, because sometimes one drink is just not enough. You can also check out our bar menu and grab a snack in one of the cozy booths.

When you are finished eating, dance the night away at Roomers Nightclub to the sounds of a DJ or live band.

Enjoy Your Surroundings
For your aquatic pleasures, try our newly renovated heated indoor pool with sauna, steam room & hot tub or relax on our private, white sand beach. Swim in the cool, clear waters of Mirror Lake and enjoy complimentary canoes, rowboats, paddle boats & kayaks for exploring the shoreline. Lake trout, bass & perch abound for the fisherman. In winter, nature helps us turn those cool clean waters into a winter play land. Skate on the ice rink, take a dogsled ride or build a snowman right in our backyard!
