What follows is a summary of the notice requirements under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). Employers must comply with all of these notice requirements. Many organizations may not be aware of these requirements, which need to be met for plan year beginning after September 23, 2010. For calendar year plans, the requirements must be met in January. These notices should be included in open enrollment information which is happening now or soon.
