In aviation, we are pleased to announce the Technical Standards Order approval of our MEMS based Air Data Attitude Heading Reference Systems: the AHR150A & AHR300A. Both the AHR150A and 300A have DO178b, Level A software throughout their 5 processors including the remote 3-axis Magnetic Sensing Unit (MSU). They also use an architecture which supports fly-by-wire & other critical applications. With performance comparable to fiber optic based systems, yet at a fraction of the cost and weight, they are finding applications in both fixed wing and rotor-wing aircraft up to & including transport categories 25 and 29. The AHR150A & 300A ADAHRS are the first MEMS based systems to meet TSO C5f for Non Magnetic Heading.
Archangel is also pleased to offer its MEMS based IM3 Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) which has variations available for integration into third party products & systems. This product weighing less than 2 ounces can be used for a variety of stabilization & pointing applications from antennas to UGV/UWV.
We are particulary proud that we were granted U.S. Patent #7,426, 859 for our MEMS Annular Rotating Sensor (MARS), which promises to revolutionize the inertial sensing market by providing a six degree-of-freedom IMU in a single low power chip. Now in its 9th year of continuous development, MARS is rapidly approaching the marketplace.
