In 1821 work on the Erie Canal began which resulted in many buildings being built in the ciy of Lockport, one of which was 35 South Transit Road.
In 1863 ownership transfered to the Lockport Brewing Co. Three years later it was sold again and became a hotel.
In 1950, as the Chase Inn, it became the "hot spot" of Lockport.
In 1962 Harold "Gig" Garlock purchased the building and moved his already established restaurant from Gooding St. to 35 South Transit Road, becoming Garlock's Restaurant.
Enjoy dining in an intimate atmosphere, with paneled walls, a solf mauve theme and shelves of antique Jim Beam bottles and other collectibles.
