The Building Industry Association of New York City, Inc., (BIANYC), amember of a national federation that includes the New York State Builders Association (NYSBA)and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), whichcombinedhave approximately 200,000 members.
BIANYC,is the leading advocate for the development and construction of low rise, primarilyowner occupiedhousing in New York City. It also acts as an intermediary between its members andthe operating agencies of the city that govern the many activities of thebuildingtrades, including construction codes,highwayregulation, drainage and water supply, as well as planningand zoning.BIANYC continuously works to create a level playing field for its members to operate on, as far as government regulators are concerned.
