ATTN:Information for owners of the Emachine T series computers. Check to see if you have the Bestec Power Supply Model ATX-250-12E Rev. P7. If you do shut it off and unplug the computer then have the power supply replaced. The power supply will cause failure in the mainboards south bridge chip thus costing you a new mainboard along with power supply of $140 vs just $49.99 for the PSU alone plus labor if you have a computer shop to do it. This power supply may not be limited to use in Emachine and may be found in other computer manufacture machines such as HP, Compaq, Gateway and Etc.
[Tech note: Pin 9 (purple wire) of the ATX connector is suppling between 8.4v to 9v instead of 5v (stand by voltage) there as causing a short in the south bridge. Unit may not show this but will over time it is best to play it safe in this situation.]
