The prevailing thought in education today is that the brain, like a muscle, must be constantly exercised and used. Bridges To Learning, now in its 7th successful summer with the 92nd Street Y, has put together a program of tutoring support which prevents children from having summer learning loss and which bridges the gap from one grade to the next. We have designed the program to maintain childrens academic level and increase their capabilities for the upcoming school year. We have embedded this support in a convenient, recreational program conducted at your childs camp.

As expert school teachers and private tutors, every spring we have many parents asking us the same question, "how can I keep my child learning over the summer, and still enable them to have fun at camp?" Concerns are mounting as current research suggests that all young people experience learning losses when they do not engage in educational activities during the summer.

The solution for concerned parents has not been easy. Tutoring before camp is very hectic, and after camp children are exhausted. Many parents are put in a terrible position of having to choose between camp and summer learning. Because of this, we created Bridges To Learning, a program that incorporates the camp experience with consistent academic stimulation.
