Welcome to a New Era
Welcome to the Friendship Collaborative, where scientists and people of faith meet to engage in conversation about their shared concerns over the current environmental crises threatening the life support systems of our planet.
Through dynamic workshops held across the country, Friendship Collaborative participants exchange information, share stories, and focus on the common goals of caring for creation. Scientists learn about the basic religious landscape and how to reach out more effectively across the cultural divide; faith leaders learn about the decline of the global environment, including climate change, and its consequences for people and wildlife. Together we open avenues of communication and foster greater understanding as we work to save our threatened planet.
We encourage you to check out opportunities to participate in a workshop or host your own on our Events page.

The Friendship Collaborative is closely partnered with Creation Care for Pastors, a resource for evangelical pastors interested in environmental stewardship.
Behold the Earth: a feature-length musical documentary that inquires into America’s divorce from nature, built out of conversations with leading biologists and evangelical Christians, and directed by David Conover is coming soon!
Check out the website, www.beholdtheearth.com to see trailor and previews, and read blogs by filmmakers and interviewees that discuss this most intriguing and wondrous relationship: our connection with the natural world.
Our workshop at the University of Michigan, hosted by Howard Hu, took place on March 20 within the beautiful Botanical Gardens. Surrounded by lush vegetation and some of the brightest minds in the fields of creation care, climate change, and environmental health sciences, this workshop was a provocative, exciting event. See the Events section for more information.
