How to Fix the Error?


Solution 1: Updation of the software-

  • The user first, must Click on Help

  • Select QuickBooks Update then.

  • Click on Update Now afterwards.

  • Next to the update reset mark the box.

  • Tap Notifications such that the user can receive them on a regular basis.

  • After closing QuickBooks, reopen it if it shows the Complete Update,  and then restart the device. Click on update when it's complete and then reboot.



Solution 2: Switch off the User Account Control on the System-

  • This error occurs because UAC avoids installing new updates, and just turns off the UAC by taking some measures and updating the QuickBooks of the user again.

  • For Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 10
    • Press and type the control panel and press the Window and R keys together, simultaneously. After which the user has to Press enter.

    • Go to the control panel then.

    • In the search box type, the user needs to then type UAC and press enter.

    • Switch user account control off afterwards (UAC).

    • Click Ok. 

    • After that, the software will ask for confirmation, wherein the user has to give their admin password, restart and update their device.

  •  After completely turning the UAC off the user must follow the given steps:

    • The user has to first, Restart their software for QuickBooks.

    • The QuickBooks Update Service message will then appear and there, the user has to press Install Later. Then the message will appear.

    • Download QuickBook's latest update.

    • Then reboot your desktop QuickBooks again.

    • After that, your QuickBooks Desktop reopens for the installation of the software, and press Yes to install.

    • Update the payroll tax tables afterwards.
