Our view of things is from the West Side, on 11th Avenue between 47th and 48th Streets, where the city skyline gives way to open sky and the afternoon light shimmers off the Hudson River. The neighborhood is spacious and bright but still undiscovered by most.

The West looks different than other buildings—by design. Envisioned by Dutch innovators Concrete, the architects behind CitizenM Hotels and Urby, The West is a human-scaled, environmentally conscious hub of vibrant neighborhood life. With studio to three bedroom Residences, The West has a home for everyone.

At street level, The West’s exterior evokes the neighborhood’s industrial past with large warehouse-style windows and distinctive hand-laid brickwork. Sitting above the building’s base, the top five stories compose The Cloud. The Cloud Residences are elegantly engineered with materials and surfaces that recall the technological optimism of the Machine Age, when Manhattan’s new skyscrapers were engineering marvels that changed the way we think about city living.
