Originally opening our doors in 1984, Concorde Hotel New York served as a hotel for British Airways for over 20 years. This exclusive partnership established a close-knit culture between the airline crew and the hotel staff that accommodated them. It's this personal engagement with guests that the staff was eager to bring to the general public. As a team, we did just that on June 5, 2018 when Concorde Hotel became the newest boutique hotel in Manhattan's Midtown East.
From an architectural standpoint, the hotel was designed by Anthony M. Salvati and is categorized as a 'sliver style' building due to its tall and slender design. The design itself is 37 stories tall but never has more than 4 rooms per floor. As the building was orginally designed to house condominiums, our floorplans tend to be larger and more comfortable than most Manhattan hotels. Our guests get to take advantage of this unique construction and often remark on how rare it is to see all of a hotel's rooms include both a rainfall shower and a soaking tub.
Before opening to the public, and continuing after opening, our team is constantly looking into how we can make every guest's stay at our hotel a memorable, enjoyable experience. We've upgraded our hotel rooms, our amenities, and even our elevators in pursuit of the perfect guest experience.
The one thing that has never needed upgrading has been our staff. The Concorde Hotel staff is a microcosm of the city that we call home. Our team is multicultural and multilingual. Each member is incredibly knowledgable about the hotel and our surrounding area. If you have a question, feel free to reach out to any of us as we'd be happy to help.
Our hotel location is also pretty spectacular as we're within walking distance of iconic New York locations like Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Grand Central Station, and East River. What's more, the restaurants around the hotel are second to none. Just ask our front desk if you're in need of a recommendation.
